Giving Back

Animals Needing Homes Need Amazing Photos!

There are so many animals needing forever homes today. Often dogs and cats find themselves at shelters through no fault of their own. If only they could catch the eye of a potential adopter. Well that’s the challenge! So many of these dogs and cats have snapshots with their online profile, but the picture shows the animal’s fear, confusion, and stress. This never shows well, and that poor animal is passed over and stays at the shelter, afraid and alone.

Photographing Adoptable Animals is My Passion.

Homeless animals have always had my heart. Each and every one has a story, one that we may never know. Back when I was looking to once again adopt a dog, it was an online photo that caught my eye. This dog was looking right at me! I went on, looking at other animals, but I kept coming back to this one image. I realized this dog’s photo was speaking to me. I had to have her! I know the power of a compelling photo, and every homeless animal deserves to have one. It’s their chance to a forever home, and I love helping make this happen.

Rescue organizations I currently volunteer with:

Rettungs-Haus Shepherds, Inc. –  a German Shepherd rescue organization that also offers all-breed obedience classes. Also brings youth and the community together, through its program Operation K9 Truth for Youth.

Safe Harbor Humane Society – Kenosha’s local animal shelter offering dogs, cats, and other small animals for adoption
